Rudolphs Rampage at 10 years old

Yes, it really has been 10 years since runners started dressing up, to run through Painswick and the surrounding countryside. In the beginning it was the first ever event organised and was for club members only or Cotswold Allrunners. However, the fun had to a spread and soon it was apparent that the fancy dress element was becoming just as competitive as the run itself.
2010 Runners

beautifully scenic route

There’s the route, which is a great multi-terrain course, along streams, over weirs, up lovely hillside tracks, intense woodland with glimpses through the autumn thinned out trees of Painswick, in the heart if the Cotswolds.

Once the mud has subsided from your shoes, it’s time to run through the Church yard with 99 trees.  A bit further along is the view down the Stroud Valley, before a downhill stretch to the finish of the race.

What's your fancy dress?

There’s clearly no shortage of Santas this time of year, nor Nativity themes either.

The Reindeer costumes get hot, so some choose to wear less.

Yes, that’s a Penguin, yes that’s a present, yes that’s Storm Troopers, yes that’s a Sprout and Christmas pudding
