Trailmania 2022 Cancelled

Trailmania

A series of 3 trail runs, for all ages and abilities, in around the beautiful heart of the Cotswolds, with views, hills, woodland trails & winding footpaths full of flora and fauna.

It all starts in Nailsworth with the Nelly,  the fields of joy, to Avening and back.

Followed by the the Sizzler, in mid July taking you to the top of one of the great Cotswold Hills with views across to Wales,

Finally, Cranham with great trails, an amazing view, but afterwards your lungs will feel like something was chasing through the woods followed by series awards and BBQ.

About Trailmania

Trailmania is a series of trail races over 4 weeks in June & July each year.
  • 10k distances for over 15s
  • 3k distances for under 15s & families walking together
The 3 Trailmania runs, Cranham Beast, Nailsworth Mills & The Sizzler are all in the Cotswolds and no more than 5 miles from Stroud, Gloucestershire. All the events are easily reachable from Cheltenham, Gloucester & Cirencester, as well as easy access to & from the M5 & A417 (M4) Directions can be found by searching google Cranham,Glos Nailsworth, Glos King’s Stanley, Stroud
Trailmania, starts on the 3rd Sunday in June, then with a 2 week break has back to back weekends in July. It’s all finished before the School summer holidays begin.
You can register for individual events or you can enter all 3 in the series. Enter the series and receive a series tech tee & free BBQ at the final event, the Cranham Beast Enter before 30th April & get £6 discount on the series fee. Series Discount does not apply to 3k Fun Run/Walk You can only register for the series before the first event You can still be considered for the series prizes and awards by completing all 3 events.
Trailmania is designed to give you great challenges with beautiful Cotswold views and rewarding you with medals. All 3 events are hilly trail events, with significant amounts of ascent. Remember: The start & finish are in the same location, so there must be just as much downhill, too. You can see the profiles of the events by visiting the individual event pages above If you are new to trail running, then why not start with family trailmania. As long as you complete all 3 events, even at different distances, you get all the medals. You can enter any of the races individually or the whole series! Earlybird entries are available for the series from January to end of April. Normal entry is … 10k – £17 (plus £2 unaffiliated) 3k – £9 Family Trailmania 3k is £5 per person who wants to receive a medal Series Entry 10k – £51 (plus £2 unaffiliated) 3k – £27 – (£21 with School code) 3k non competitive – £15 per person who wants a medal includes a free series tech tee (worth £6.50) plus BBQ at the Cranham Beast

Trailmania Rules

Trailmania Medals The 2019 Trailmania events each have their own medals, which all finishers receive at the finish line
There will be awards to the 1st person in the following categories 1st Man Lady Under 15 boys Under 15 girls, Under 10 boys Under 10 girls
The series awards will be presented after the Beast on the 21st July Awards will be calculated on total chip running time, with the lowest being the winner Categories are as follows; 1st, 2nd & 3rd Man in 10k Lady in 10k Under 15 boys Under 15 girls, Under 10 boys Under 10 girls
If you are going to be 15 during the series, i.e. after the first event in June & before the Cranham Beast in late July, then you have 2 choices
  1. Complete the junior series, albeit at the age of 15 and be eligible for the junior series awards
  2. or, enter the 10k distance event, once you are 15, but will not be eligible for either junior or 10k series awards You will of course be eligible for the event specific awards, i.e 1st place
If unfortunately, you can’t make a particularly event, but have entered the series, there is an option for you to complete the route at another time and record it on Strava. We will then check this and once verified, provide you with the missing medal. However, you will not receive a time or be eligible for the series awards. If you haven’t entered the series, but enter 2 events and complete them, there is an option to complete the missing event and receive the final medal, but there will be a charge of £9.
